1970 Ford TAG Torino

A Modern Marvel

This particular car was purchased by the Autodream Group in November of 2007 from a gentleman from Toronto. Upon arrival of the car to our shop we had a “visionary meeting” with the entire staff and threw out ideas as to what we wanted to do with the car. Based on this information we created a rendering showing what we wanted the car to look like.

The car itself was in extremely good shape. In fact the entire bottom of the car was still painted orange, the same colour as the rest of the car, and needed very little work. In keeping with the beautiful factory lines of the Torino and the fact that the body was in such good shape we decided to do a mild “Pro tour” of the car but leaving the body pretty much stock. The minor changes we made to the body included removing the large factory marker lights and replacing them with the small round marker lights from a 1968 Dodge Charger, removing the door handles and installing door poppers to open the doors as well as filling in the rear lip of the trunk lid where there was originally a horizontal insert.
